Introduction The PG Scholarship for SC/ST Students 2023 for Professional Courses is a government initiative launched by the University Grant Commission to provide financial assistance to SC/ST category students pursuing professional courses. This scholarship program is aimed at supporting students who face financial constraints in completing their education due to their weak financial background.
Eligibility Criteria
- The applicant must belong to the SC/ST category.
- The applicant must have secured admission to a professional course in any recognized university/institution in India.
- The applicant’s family income must not exceed Rs. 6 lakhs per annum.
- The applicant must not be availing any other scholarship or financial assistance from any other source.

Important Dates
- Application period: The application period for the PG scholarship for SC/ST students generally opens in the month of August or September and closes in October or November.

- Scholarship disbursement: The scholarship amount is disbursed to the selected candidates from April onwards.
