A post is widely being shared on social media networks. In this 41-second video, the man is heard saying, “I killed her because of my honour, she was contentiously doing this, that’s why i killed her. I told her several times not to do this but she again and again used to give us sleeping pills”

The claim suggests that a man from Kashmir Father cut off his daughter’s head as she was having affair with a boy. The video had garnered lacs of views, at the time of writing this story.

KSU carried out a reverse image search on the viral video, which led us to an article by ODD Bangla, which was published on 26 August and carried the same photos. The headline for this article read – “The girl used to meet her boyfriend by taking sleeping pills to her mother! Father committed a brutal crime”

The man in video is not from Kashmir, his full name is Shahid Qureshi, he’s from Meerut Uttar Pradesh.
As per ODD Bangla(West Bangal based News magazine and website) Shahid Qureshi and his wife Shehnaz. killed their daughter by cutting off her head for making love. Police have arrested accused father in this incident. He killed his daughter Shahina, 25, after she fell in love with his ‘disliked son’. Later he threw Shahina’s severed head in a drain in Meerut Uttar Pradesh
This shows the video which is being shared on social media as a Kashmiri man killed his daughter is actually not from Kashmir. The incident occured on 26 Aug in Meerut Uttar Pradesh. General public is advised to stop sharing such posts.
