The government can increase the Dearness Allowance by 4 percent in Navratri. The figures of the AICPI-IW on the basis of which dearness allowance is fixed, have also come. The figures for the first half of AICPI-IW (All India Consumer Price Index- Industrial Worker) have come. It has gained 0.2 percent and has reached the level of 129.2 points. This is the reason that the expectation of increasing DA before the festivals has increased. Government employees and pensioners will benefit from increasing the DA of the government.

Bats of government employees

The increase in dearness allowance of the government will benefit 50 lakh employees and 65 lakh pensioners of the country as their salary will increase. At the beginning of the year, the government had increased the DA by 3 per cent, after which the dearness allowance reached 34 per cent. Now due to increase in DA by 4 per cent (DA by 4 per cent) the dearness allowance will become 38 per cent.

Get Triple Treat in September

After months of waiting, lakhs of central government employees are finally expected to get the good news in September. While Dearness Allowance (DA) hike is the talk of the town, two more big gifts are on the way. A DA hike of 4 per cent may be announced around Navratri next month which will take the total figure for central government employees to 38 per cent. Apart from DA, two more announcements are likely to be made in September related to the demand for DA arrears and finally the interest amount for Provident Fund (PF) accounts.

With the triple bonanza, the central government employees are all set to receive a huge amount in their bank accounts next month. This will be a massive boost at a time when rising inflation has put pressure on domestic finances.
