JKBOSE March session in Kashmir 2022: A top official stated on Saturday that the government’s decision to move the academic session from the current academic year to March-2023 is carefully thought through.

The official added that there should be no uncertainty over it and advised students to make the necessary preparations for the March session from the present academic year.

“The government has agreed to move the session from the current academic year to March 2023. After that official order is issued by the department, only a few things need to be sorted out, the official informed Greater Kashmir.

The administration decided that the annual 2022 Board exams for grades 10 through 12 will take place in March 2023 rather than November or December of that year.

“Yes, a decision has been made. There shouldn’t be any room for interpretation, the official stated.

As was previously mentioned, J&K Chief Secretary (CS) Dr. Arun Kumar Mehta stated in April of this year that Jammu and Kashmir would begin fully implementing the National Education Policy (NEP-2020) as of the current academic session. The state would also switch to a uniform academic calendar that would be synced with the national academic calendar.

In accordance with the National Academic Calendar, the Higher Education Department (HED) has already moved the academic session from the current year to July.

The academic calendar will be in sync with HED and the national academic calendar, he added, adding that the School Education Department (SED) will do the same.

Notably, a high-level committee created by the government was tasked with outlining the best course of action. The operational plan to move the academic session from the present session to March has been proposed by the committee.
