Before the big game between India and Pakistan, former Pakistani skipper Shahid Afridi was asked about the outcome of the match, and his answer surprised everyone.

The 2022 Asia Cup will feature a blockbuster Sunday for cricket fans around the world when longtime rivals India and Pakistan square off once more. The game will take place on August 28 at the same venue where India’s painful 10-wicket loss to Babar Azam’s team took place—the Dubai International Stadium.

Shahid Afridi, the former captain of Pakistan, was questioned about the match’s outcome before the big game, and his response caught everyone off guard.

Afridi was questioned on a variety of subjects, including Shaheen Afridi’s injury, Virat Kohli’s play, and his future intentions, during a Q&A session with his followers on Twitter on Sunday. A fan asked him about the upcoming India vs. Pakistan game among those queries.

It was anticipated that Afridi would reply with a single tweet endorsing the Babar Azam-led team, but he instead wrote, “Depends on who makes the least mistakes.”

Shaheen Shah Afridi, Pakistan’s star fast bowler, will miss the Asia Cup next week as well as the subsequent T20Is against England due to a knee injury. For a three-match one-day international series in the Netherlands, Afridi travelled with the squad. However, medical professionals urged him to take a break for four to six weeks, effectively excluding him from the eagerly awaited India-Pakistan match.

However, Indian ace Jasprit Bumrah has also been dropped from the Indian side for the six-team tournament. According to a statement from the Board of Control for Cricket in India, Bumrah is receiving back injury treatment at the National Cricket Academy.
