Meta-owned WhatsApp has been working on a bunch of interesting features to enhance the user experience. California based messaging app recently announced on Twitter that it will now give users two days to delete a message they have sent.

The Meta-owned messaging app WhatsApp has announced to increase up to 2 days and 12 hours to delete a message after sending it. The company has announced this on a Twitter post. Below is the Twitter post.

What was the previous time?
The Whatsapp previously allowed users to unsend a message within 1 hour, 8 minutes, and 16 seconds. Once you exceed the time limit, you will no longer get the “Delete Message for Everyone” feature.

iMessage has reduced the time
iMessage which is an instant messaging service in Apple devices is reducing the time limit from 15 minutes to only two minutes. iMessage support in Apple phones was added with iOS 5 on October 12, 2011.
