Due to the influence, ineligible families are taking ration and the eligible are deprived. At present, the central and state government is giving free ration at the rate of Rs.2 a kg. Ineligibility for ration

  • In case of not coming under the rules of poverty line
  • Luxury amenities at home
  • Any member of the family is in government job
  • Family income should be more than Rs.36000 per annum
  • For APL ration card holders, the monthly income should be less than 10 thousand rupees
  • Having ration card of more than one place is also out of eligibility.

In fact, in the year 2020 Corona period, the central government had run the free ration card scheme. All the families were provided ration, food grains, oil, sugar etc. During that time many ineligible people had also got cards made and took advantage of the scheme in a wrong way. But now the government wants ineligible people to be excluded from this scheme. For this, the government is giving the last opportunity to all those people to surrender their ration card. If anyone does not surrender the ration card despite being ineligible, then legal action will be taken against them and payment will also be recovered in lieu of the ration given to them.

These people are considered ineligible to get ration cards

Such citizens have been considered ineligible for this scheme who have,

1. Have a plot, house or flat of more than 100 square meters,
2. Those who have car, tractor,
3. Those who have air conditioner,
4. Whose family income is more than two lakh rupees in villages and three lakh rupees in cities,
5. Having a generator of 5 kW capacity or,
6. Having one or more arms licenses.

If those who have any of the above items, all of them are considered ineligible for the scheme as per the new rules. An appeal has been made to those people to surrender their ration card in Tehsil or DSO office. Later, if they are found ineligible in the investigation, then their ration card will be canceled and legal action will also be taken against them.

Only they will be able to get Ration Card

1. All such families who do not have their own pucca house or live in slums.

2. Beggars
3. Daily wage laborers or workers
4. Workers who earn their livelihood by doing household chores
5. Drivers and porters and load-bearing workers
6. Landless Farmers
7. Garbage Pickers
8. Eligible families identified by the State Government
9. Poor families identified in the 2011 Economic Census
