A big update has come out for the customers of the State Bank of India (SBI Account). The bank has frozen many accounts. That is, now these account holders will not be able to do any transaction from their account.

The question arises, why did the bank do this? So the answer is, that these account holders have not yet completed their KYC process. Let us know which documents are required to get KYC done.

What is a customer complaint?

State Bank of India customer Gaurav Agarwal writes on Twitter, ‘The transaction process on my account has been stopped as I have not done KYC. But no one asked me to update KYC. Commenting on this, SBI wrote, ‘As per the rules of RBI, customers have to get KYC updated from time to time. In such a case, any customer whose KYIC process was incomplete. They were informed about this through several other means including SMS.

The bank was further told, ‘According to the notification, either you go to your branch and get the KYC process done. Or send a copy of your KYC document from your registered e-mail id to the official e-mail id of the branch.

driving license
Aadhar letter/card
pan card

How will this process be completed?

SBI customers will have to give their required information in a certain format along with the signature to the bank. Customers can also complete this process through post or e-mail.
