Kohli’s seven double-centuries in Tests look like a difficult milestone for Azam for now.

The game of cricket has produced many legends who have won the hearts of the people by their performances. It has seen many big names like Sir Donald Bradman, Sachin Tendulkar, Brian Lara, Viv Richards, and now recently, the cricketers who are highly spoken to be in the contention on the list are Virat Kohli and Babar Azam

Virat Kohli of India and Babar Azam of Pakistan are currently the top two batters in the world. They are said to be the best because of their styles of play and mainly their supreme consistency with the bat in all three formats. They both are known for their classy drives and in particular for their cover drives, and can be watched a number of times without any hassle.

It is definitely a blessing to see them both bat in the same era. These two people have shattered plenty of records for their countries. There are many records carved by the senior player Virat and some records mentioned in the listicle might not be easy to break for the youngster Babar.

Records of Virat Kohli which are tough for Babar Azam to break

Virat Kohli aged 33 debuted for the Indian Test side in 2011 and has created as well as shattered many records. He has played 96 matches and has hit 7765 runs with an astounding average of 51.08 with 27 centuries and 27 Half-centuries.

Babar Azam the 27-year-old debuted for the Pakistan Test side, 5 years after Virat Kohli in 2016. He has represented the Pakistani whites in 35 matches and has scored 2362 runs with an average of 42.95 which includes five centuries and 18 half-centuries. Kohli being the senior has played many more matches than Babar and has hit seven double centuries till now.

Babar’s numbers are not great enough like Kohli’s and he hasn’t hit a double century in Tests yet and his highest score remains as 143. With average stats in this format, it is evident that Kohli is a much better batter, and Babar being played 35 matches has not had a double hundred under his kitty yet, hence it would be difficult for him to beat this record.
